To have

O verbo to have se traduz por “ter”.

I have a future ahead of me.  Eu tenho um futuro a minha frente.

O to have é essencial porque com ele se formam várias estruturas em inglês. Veja que formas ele tem:

I/We/You/They have   

He/She/It has

Quando aparecem com not em estruturas que ele ajuda a formar, to have se contrai e fica hasn’t e haven’t.
